Global Lean Engineer (m/f)

In this position, you support and facilitate our Production System, which is based on Lean and Six Sigma terminologies and tools. The ability to challenge, coach and train management as well as engineering and operations is essential in this role. Additionally, you have the drive and enthusiasm to motivate and encourage employees of all levels.

Responsibilities:
· Facilitator, Coach or Supporter on global and local projects
· Support plant Lean Departments mainly in Holland but also in Canada and Australia on prioritizing and best practice approaches
· Training in and updating of our production system toolbox
· Monitor and coach on progress initiatives and plans
· Implement and maintain our training academy
· Teach and train others on Production System concepts though an "Academy" approach of learning-throughdoing (training combined with hands-on improvement)
· Drive and support benchmarking on production development and improvements
· Define best practice on a global level and guide alignment of major processes


Requirements:
· Degree in Engineering or related field or foreign degree equivalent; plus 5 years of experience in production system associated work or processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment
· Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing with strong practical experience implementing Lean concepts
· Strong communication and visualization skills with an ability to inspire others
· Ability to travel up to 20 - 40% of working time
· Dynamic and goal oriented personality with focus on processes and approaches
· Self-starter with the ability to multitask
· Work well independently or in cross-functional teams
· Fluency in English; Dutch and/or German would be advantageous

Suitable candidates must be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands, as your work place will be in Venlo (close to the German border).
