 Job Description
 Shell Aircraft International (SAI) is a Shell Group Service Organisation, which comprises aircraft specialists based in Rotterdam, Houston, the UK and Singapore. Our purpose is to two folds - provide executive travel support for the Executive Committee and other nominated senior managers using the business jets in Houston and Rotterdam. And to provide advice on air operations, set and evaluate standards and lead the drive towards overall improvements in flight safety globally within the Shell Group. For our Rotterdam The Hague Airport base we are looking for a Falcon 7X captain.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operations in accordance with the Shell Aircraft Flight Operations Manual to achieve the high standards demanded by the Company.
  • Pre-flight planning, preparation, safe operation and security of Rotterdam Fleet aircraft to which he/she is assigned, through the daily flying programme.
  • Effective and timely completion of such other duties and tasks, both directly and indirectly associated with the operation of Fleet aircraft, to which he/she is assigned by the Deputy Chief Pilot.
  • Exercising sound judgement when away from base in arranging third party operational support, including handling, catering and transport arrangements.
  • Providing for the safety, comfort, welfare and security of Fleet passengers from check-in for departure to meeting their contact at destination. To include commercial flight interlining assistance as required.
  • Ensuring that liaison with SAI Operations and Engineering is effective with regard to aircraft serviceability, post flight defect reporting, husbandry and third party engineering performance, with regard to any aircraft he/she operates.
  • Maintaining first class standards of self-discipline and personal grooming.
Requirements Experience & Qualification

  • To act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of an SAI aircraft, the PIC must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence, acceptable to the State(s) of Registry and Operation, with a type rating for that type of aircraft. In addition, the PIC must:
  • Hold valid First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Hold valid aeronautical radiotelephone licence.
  • Must possess a valid passport with no restrictions and current first class aviation medical.
  • Have a current EASA ATPL preferably with a type rating on an advanced cockpit aircraft.
  • A minimum total flight experience of: 4000 hours airplane, 2500 hours must be P1, of which 2000 multi engine.
  • Previous experience of working within a Corporate Flight Department is preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a corporate flight department would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential with a minimum of ICAO level 4.
