Job objectives:

The
Project Manager Online Education is responsible for developing and
implementing projects regarding online education, to provide
high-quality Continuing Medical Education to urologists across Europe.
The Project Manager has an in-depth understanding of e-learning
processes and is expected to take initiative and apply the current
trends in the field of online education. The Project Manager is able to
contribute to the content development of EAU’s e-learning projects for
the European School of Urology (ESU) and, in partnership with
stakeholders from industry, for Education & Innovation. The Project
Manager also recognizes opportunities to develop and implement new
educational projects and tools. In all projects the Project Manager
ensures compliance with scientific integrity, educational value,
strategic communication and stakeholders interests.

Result areas:

  • Responsible for educational projects (online) from conception to completion, including:

    • Initiating ideas for new educational projects 
    • Establishing project budget, timelines and communication strategy 
    • Writing detailed project proposals 
    • Negotiating with external companies regarding funding and/or course development 
    • Liaising with faculty and internal or external project team members 
    • Communication with all stakeholders
    • Results measurement and evaluation of a project 
  • Maintenance of online courses and the learning management system 
  • Support of online learners and of faculty deploying blended learning activities 
  • Analysis and evaluation of online education programmes 
  • Gathering information on trends and developments in online education and in CME 
  • Presenting project plans, progress reports and evaluations to EAU boards/committees 
  • Linking different EAU online projects in the field of e-learning

Requirements

  • HBO/WO (college diploma or university degree) level of education in Educational Science
  • Experience
    in medical and life science education with experience in (online)
    education and/or at least 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • 3-5
    Years of experience in an (online) adult students educational
    environment In-depth understanding of course design and recognized
    e-learning standards
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with CME, accreditation and/or scientific publication standards
  • Familiarity with IT processes regarding e-learning: authoring tools and learning management systems
  • Experience with project acquisition and research (feasibility)
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English, including instructional, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Preferably experience with Lectora
  • Teamplayer that understands stakeholder’s interests
  • Analytical
    thinking, convincing ability, accuracy, quality and result orientated,
    helicopterview and drive are some of the main competences for this
    position
  • You live near Arnhem (max. 60 km), The Netherlands

are concentrated in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Online Education department

The
EAU provides all kinds of education for urologists, via the European
School of Urology (ESU) e.g. by organising courses in different
countries but also online through her Online Education department. This
department consists of two Project Managers and one Project Assistant.

You will be delivering education through training sessions, workshops and project groups. You will be developing educational material and guiding students both individually and in groups. Furthermore we expect you to deliver an active contribution to the development and anchorage of the knowledge-domain within the curriculum.


You have an academic level of thinking and working with a relevant completed education and a first grade teaching qualification. You have built up working experience on a higher educational level. You are either experienced with or have affinity with working in an international / intercultural context (preferably) in the Leisure industry. You are familiar with ICT and its application in education, using the electronically learning environment, and you are motivated to use these methods intensively. Also you are familiar with modern educational views within the higher education (aimed on competency and practice, directed by questions).


NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences offers organisation and facilities for costs of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch Tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad. The salary for this position will be at level 11 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning a monthly maximum of € 4365.16 gross (full-time). For this position you will be offered a contract for the period of one year. You will get a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, NHTV University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance, a compensation for your Health Insurance and several compensations for sports activities.

Location: Netherlands

The Legal Director will be a key partner to the business unit CEOs and CFOs in the development and implementation of business strategies that will result in the continued growth and profitability of the European universities by growing existing campuses and adding new campus locations to the business. The Legal Director will provide leadership and oversight for all areas of internal and external legal issues.

Specific Responsibilities:

Laureate Education in Europe, is committed to providing an outstanding post-secondary educational offering to students in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, the UK, Cyprus, Jordan and Turkey as well as the opportunity to participate in an international experience through the Laureate Network. The Legal Director will make a key contribution to the success of Laureate in a variety of areas:

The Legal Director will perform or supervise the Corporate Secretary functions for all the Laureate Europe entities.

The Legal Director will be involved in all aspects of merger and acquisition activity and will provide legal and business advice as a part of the senior management team. The Legal Director will work extensively with outside counsel, to develop letters of intent, buy/sell agreements, shareholder agreements, financing agreements, and conduct due diligence reviews. He/She will also provide legal counsel and direction to Europe’s business leaders across the different countries.

He/She will oversee the development and/or maintenance of the legal processes, policies, procedures, governance, compliance and systems that will support growth.

This individual will develop and review all employment and other business contractual agreements.

The Legal Director will oversee and provide policy guidance to the European universities and outside counsel for the universities.

Provide Laureate General Counsel with Quarterly reports and other requested reports and participate in all corporate legal meetings.

The main challenges for this position are:

A) Strengthen and maintain a best-in-class Legal function and team, including the development of a Legal pipeline of talent.
B) Draft and review all types of national and international contracts
C) Suggest, establish and enforce all legal policies and procedures including trademarks, copyrights, document retention, asset protection and any other legal issues.
D) Establish and improve relations with the Education Authorities, making sure that the European universities comply with all legal procedures that their accreditation and licensure requires
E) Establish a good cooperative working relationship with the other legal counsel in the Laureate Network.
Desired Skills & Experience

The main core competencies required:
Solid knowledge of the European Union and Turkey Law especially regarding contracts and corporate structure
Solid knowledge of the United States legal and financial requirements for public companies (Sarbanes Oxely, SEC, FCPA)
Knowledge of brands / branding
Experience managing and coordinating internal and external groups of people
Solid knowledge of corporate law, stockholder meetings, governance, etc.
Experience working in a multinational, fast-paced, matrix-environment, preferably with an American company, having reported to the USA and solid understanding of corporate requirements, including compliance


Other characteristics
Attorney at Law from one of the top Law schools in the European region or a top U.S. law school
Would be a plus but not a must to have an LLM
10-12 years of solid corporate experience at least some of which was in a multinational, although this is a guideline and not a limitation.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
Solid knowledge and ability in written and spoken English
Fluent in French and Spanish or German or Italian or Portuguese
Able to work long hours under pressure in a very unstructured environment


Candidate Profile/Experience
The successful candidate will be a broad-gauged business person with depth in the region’s corporate law, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. He/She may come from any of a varietyof industries so long as the experience afforded the candidate significan texposure to international markets/companies.

The Compensation Package
The annual total compensation will competitive with the market (it will as well include a performance annual bonus).
