Executive Education and Organizational Development
Nyenrode is a private university. As such the university is one of
the largest providers of executive education in the Netherlands.
Its mission since 1946 is ‘by business for business’ and its strategic objective is ‘Just-in-time’ education.
The Dean EEOD will report to the rector magnificus/chief executive and will be part of the university executive board, sharing responsibility for the overall management and development of the university as an academic and corporate enterprise.
The dean will be responsible for:
Leading the EEOD operations with a current annual turnover of 15-20 million euro
Managing the program portfolio in all Executive Education
Increasing the revenue realizing growth of this activity substantially over the next 3-4 years
Diversifying the client portfolio both nationally and internationally
Maintaining a high level of quality of its programs
Strengthening account management
Improving engagement with faculty and alumni
The result should be an overall stronger position of Nyenrode as a university and as a business also reflected in an improved position in the rankings for executive education and accreditations.
Based on this the ideal candidate will have:
Substantial academic credibility in a relevant field, by preference reflected in an earned doctorate, professorate and publications.
Broad network of contacts in the business world, ideally based on hands-on experience in the corporate sector.
Demonstrable experience in acquisition of substantial projects in the field of executive education, organizational
development, customized or co-development projects.
Senior level management experience in ideally both – but at least either – higher education and corporate world.
Track record in team leadership and change management. Evidence of being result focused and having strong commercial acumen is essential.
