Watch our YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJiZjCrBnIM&feature=youtu.be

The award for best web shop isn't handed out arbitrarily; it has to be earned. At bol.com we have done just that, repeatedly, by virtue of our customer oriented strategy and a healthy drive to innovate. Innovation is in our DNA. We recently launched several attractive new web stores – we are currently going for gold in the sporting goods category – and we are constantly investing in our IT landscape. What other organizations dream about is what we do before lunch. Big data? Hadoop? Automated testing? Been there, done that. Do you want to work on tomorrow's IT solutions today? And do you combine hardcore IT talent with communicative skills and a healthy measure of performance-driven attitude? Prove to bol.com that you're agile enough to merit a position in one of our 24 (!)  Scrum teams!

As Young IT Professional you conceive, develop and implement intelligent IT solutions that put a smile on 4+ million faces. You're not on your own, because you can count on the support of enthusiastic team members – the Messis and Van Persies of the IT developer's community – as well as an experienced coach. After a brief meet & greet phase, you will join one of our Scrum teams and master the finesses of agile while bringing a measurable improvement to the success of our web store. Sometimes in the spotlight, when you implement web platform optimizations, and sometimes behind the scenes, for example when you fine tune recommendations or logistics software. We will rotate you to different Scrum teams so that you experience the breath of bol.com and fully develop your potential, and we will even place you with a business unit during the program. There you will be challenged to analyze complex business requirements and come up with effective, scalable solutions. The exposure to all facets of bol.com will help you grow as an IT professional. And of course you will also spend a lot of time in the ‘training field', because we take all aspects of your personal and professional development seriously. All of this in a challenging big data environment where we are working on the perfect shopping experience of tomorrow, today.

Previous experience as a developer, for example from part time work, is welcome but not required. In addition to this:
  • Mix of IT knowledge and people skills
